Meet Christine Marcos, Pacekids’ People and Culture Coordinator!
1. What is your role at Pacekids, and how long have you been here?
“I’m the People and Culture Coordinator, and I’ve been with Pacekids for about five months.“
2. What drew you to working with children with diverse needs?
“I’ve always been drawn to working in the non-profit sector because I really value the advocacy and positive impact they create in the community. The work we do with children and families really align with my personal values, which is what made me excited to be part of the organization.“
3. What is a moment at Pacekids that has stuck with you?
“One moment that has really stayed with me was the ECS Send-Off before the summer break. Seeing the faces of the people who work on the front lines gave me an even greater appreciation for the work they do every day. Working in P&C, I’ve also come to realize how much happens behind the scenes to support our teams and how much flexibility is needed to make sure employees have what they need. There are so many moving pieces that happen behind the scenes and how everyone’s contributions come together to make Pacekids what it is today.“
4. What is the most rewarding part of your job?
“For me, the most rewarding part is being able to support our employees and make sure things are taken care of as timely as possible. I also really enjoy being able to connect the right people within the organization, support my team, and help make things run a little more smoothly behind the scenes.”
5. What is something your colleagues might not know about you?
“Something my colleagues might not know about me is that I’m always excited to try new food and explore new places. I love discovering cuisines and cultures!“
