Early Childhood Services (ECS)

In-home, centre-based, flexible preschool & kindergarten programming.

Pacekids’ Early Childhood Services (ECS) Program follows the curriculum and standards set by Alberta Education and is an approved, Private ECS Operator for Program Unit Funding (PUF) from Alberta Education.

Thank you for your interest in Pacekids Programs! Our 2022-2023 programs are currently full at both our South and North locations and we have closed our waitlists. 

Registration for the 2023-2024 school year will begin in January 2023.  Please submit an inquiry form and your information will be added to our contact list. In the meantime, please explore our website, Facebook and/or Instagram pages for information about our programs.

(Monday through Friday, 8:40am – 12:20pm)

  • Designed for children who have multiple areas of need and may have physical and/or medical involvement including but not limited to Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Global Developmental Delay, Down Syndrome and Brain Injury.

  • Pacekids’ full therapy team is involved in programming and the development of goals.

  • Teachers implement a modified Alberta Education curriculum.

  • Education goals focus on both academics as well as social skills and participation.

  • Program focus is on helping children reach their full potential in all areas of development.

  • The program offers small class sizes with a very low child to assistant ratio.

  • Ratios are determined based on the needs of each child and may be modified as necessary.

(Monday through Friday, 1:30pm – 3:40pm)

  • Program focuses on language development and ECS academics according to each child’s abilities; classroom instruction that is tailored to each child’s language level.

  • Teachers implement a modified Alberta Education curriculum.

  • Language and Early Literacy programming is supported by a Speech-Language Pathologist.

  • Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Behavioural Strategists are available for consultation as needed.

  • Small class sizes with a low child to assistant ratio.

  • Ratios are determined based on the needs of each child and may be modified, as necessary.

Please Note: Due to an increase in registration requests for the 2022/2023 school year, the waitlist for our North school’s ECS Afternoon Program is now closed. You are welcome to still submit an inquiry form, but we no longer have the ability to offer spaces on our waitlist.

There are spaces available at our South school’s Afternoon Program waitlist.
