Universal Screening Day at Pacekids Sunridge (Date TBA)

What is a screening?

A screening is a brief, play-based check of your child’s development.

It looks at areas such as:

  • Speech and language
  • Motor skills (fine and gross)
  • Social interaction and play
  • Early learning skills

Screenings are not a diagnosis, but help us identify if further support may be helpful.

Why do we screen?

To help determine if further assessment may be beneficial – qualifying for services through Alberta Education (PUF, Mild/Moderate Funding)

To ensure children are set up for success in learning and development
