How Technology Supports Early Intervention

January 6th is National Technology Day and recognizes the way that technology has changed the world, how it helps us communicate, and how it will shape the future. The use of technology can help young children grow and learn. Early learners can use technology to actively engage in fun and challenging activities, communication and connect with their peers. Rollin’ with Jamal

Jamal is a six-year-old boy who loves to play tag, read books and be the class clown. He also happens to have a diagnosis of Cerebral Palsy, Microcephaly and Global Developmental Delay. Jamal started with Pacekids in our ECS program over five years ago. It is changing a child’s life, potentially forever. It’s giving them something so that they can actually thrive in the way that they are capable of but haven’t learned how.” We are

Grace’s Journey with Pacekids

“Our journey with Pacekids started in fall of 2019 when Grace was 3 years old. We got the approval from FSCD to start the recruitment process in finding a Specialized Services provider. When Grace was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, she was attending a daycare full- time. It was the first year when FSCD relaxed their processes and allowed the therapy team to attend both daycare/preschool setting as well as continue with the home visits. This was ideal for us since we both had full time jobs and could not possibly meet with the therapy team at home. After, multiple
